Mrs. Alice Morgan Brown, 79, died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005, in a local healthcare facility. She had been a resident of Flomaton since 1953, coming from Petersburg, Tenn. She worked as a teacher's aide at Flomaton High School for a number of years and was a member of Flomaton First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Brown Sr.
She is survived by a son, George A. Brown Jr. of Century, Fla.; a daughter, Morgan (Sonny) Morris of Flomaton; a brother, Robert Kenneth Morgan Jr. of Nashville, Tenn.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 4 p.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Pugh and the Rev. Jerry Keese officiating. Burial followed at Flomaton Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Bubba Brown, Jimbo Pugh, Nathan Brown, Leroy Steele, Shawn Hoomes and Matt Arrington.
