Tuesday, Sept. 16, has been designated "James Randolph Day" in the area when the Broadway performer returns to his native Brewton for a 7:30 p.m. performance at Woodfin Patterson Auditorium at Jefferson Davis Junior College.
When Escambia County voters go to the polls Nov. 4 to elect a president, they will also have the chance to vote on the continuation of a county and city school three mill property tax.

The problem of stray dogs was brought before the Monday night meeting of the East Brewton City Council when Glenn Hart came before the governing body to relate that dogs had become a nuisance in the area of Grantham Street, where he resides.
