For those fans who would like to take a sneak peek at the 2006 high school football schedules, join the crowd.
Coaches would like to know too.
The Alabama High School Athletic Association's decision to delay its classification and region alignment announcement to late fall has everything on hold.
The AHSAA hasn't even taken its enrollment count yet that will determine classification for the next two school years. That figure will be determined on the 20th school day after Labor Day, which for most schools should come early this week.
Riggs estimates it will probably be November before anything is announced.
W.S. Neal coach/athletic director Blaine Hathcock has his team's three non-region foes for 2006 in place, well, sort of.
Gone (and most W.S. Neal faithful would agree with good riddance) will be Eufaula, Trinity Presbyterian and Southern Choctaw. Those three teams currently have a combined 14-1 record not to mention the fact they are all triple digit road trips in mileage.
In the place of those teams will be Escambia County, Hillcrest-Evergreen and Monroe County. Escambia County and Hillcrest-Evergreen had been on the W.S. Neal schedule as recently as the 2003 season.
Escambia County and Hillcrest-Evergreen are current Class 4A members. Monroe County is a Class 5A school, but it is currently near the bottom of that class in enrollment and could easily drop down to 4A.

available for the 2006 spring season. Interested players do not have to be currently enrolled, but would have to be enrolled for the spring semester.
A tryout session will be held November 12 at 2 p.m. at the JDCC diamond.
Interested players can contact coach Misti Nims at 809-1632 for additional information.
Tuesday's volleyball game between T.R. Miller and W.S. Neal has been shifted from W.S. Neal to T.R. Miller. That match was originally scheduled for August 30, but was rescheduled due to Hurricane Katrina.
Tuesday's match now means W.S. Neal will play at T.R. Miller twice in three days. The Lady Blue Eagles will be back in Brewton Thursday for a tri-match with T.R. Miller and Monroe County.
