Mrs. Maggie Stephens Brown, 90, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2005, at a local nursing home. She was a native of Conecuh County, a resident of Brewton and a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Willie Sam Brown of Crestview, Fla.; eight sons, Wendell Brown and Scott Brown, both of Brewton, Patten Brown of Sevierville, Tenn., Harold Brown and Zane Brown, both of Atlanta, Ga., Warren Brown of Cordele, Ga., Dwight Brown of Rocklin, Calif., and Michael Brown of Opelika; a daughter, Judy Miller of Brewton; 29 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 30, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Zion Methodist Church in Lyeffion with the Rev. Mike Bledsoe officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery with Cope Funeral Home of Evergreen directing.
