Mr. Dennis William Back, 49, of Upper Creek Road, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2005, at his residence after an extended illness. He was a native of Dayton, Ohio, a former resident of Florida, and a long time resident of Brewton. He was of the Baptist faith and a retired mechanic from the state of Alabama with 17 years service.
He is survived by a sister, Robin (Matthew) Germain of Rota, Spain; a brother, Kirby (Karen) Back of Kissimmee, Fla.; his mother-in-law, Lucille Burt of Excel; two brothers-in-law, Johnny (Joe Ann) Burt and Jr. Burt, both of Brewton; a sister-in-law, Beverly Burt (Joseph) Filler of Excel; seven nieces and two nephews.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 7, at 5:30 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. John Finklea officiating. Burial followed at Pernell Cemetery in Burnt Corn with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
