Barnett Crossroads
Mrs. Clara Elmira Dawson, 91, died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005, at a local hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Barnett Crossroads. She attended Canaan Freewill Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Dawson and an infant son.
She is survived by four sons, O'Gwynn (Mary) Dawson of Slidell, La., Ed O'Neil (Lee) Dawson of Barnett Crossroads, Douglas &#8220Bill” (Claudia) Dawson of Atmore, and Derald Wayne &#8220Doc” (Esther) Dawson of Pensacola, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 29, at 10 a.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home in Atmore with the Rev. Tony Richburg officiating. Burial followed at New Bethlehem Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Charles Michael Dawson, David Jerome Dawson, Timothy David McAnally, Michael Ray Holt, Joey Carter and Frank Carter.
