Republican Ronald Reagan got the support of Escambia countians Tuesday in his landslide victory over Democratic President Carter to become the nation's 40th president.
A new business began operation in East Brewton last week with the formal opening of Otts Record Shop, 101 Snowden St.
Kim Perry, 11, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Gary Perry of Brewton won a $50 Savings Bond as grand prize winner in First progressive Banks annual Halloween costume contest. She was dressed as the &#8220Tin Man.”
The W.S. Neal Future Farmers of America brought back a number of awards from three fairs and the Auburn State Show and Sale, all held in October.
Anisa Ann Rowell is crowned Harvest Queen by David Salter, principal at W.S. Neal High School.
