James Hildreth should be excused for having a much more narrow view of the T.R. Miller Tigers football season this year.
Instead of watching things through a helmet, the former Tiger has observed play through a camera lens this season as T.R. Miller's video technician.
Hildreth, a 2005 T.R. Miller graduate who is now a freshman at Jefferson Davis Community College, has video taped the Tigers' practice workouts during the season and shot various game and feature shots from the sidelines on game nights.
The work does not end there. It has been Hildreth who helps break down the game tape for the T.R. Miller coaching staff by editing dead time from the film and making separate tapes for offense, defense and special teams.
While Hildreth breaks down each game tape on Game Night, it is usually the early hours of Saturday before his work is completed.
Hildreth admits those are situations where it is tough battling fatigue.
One plus for Hildreth is he has gotten faster at what he does as the season has gone along.
As far as during the game is concerned, Hildreth tends to concentrate on sideline shots.

Hildreth's practice video work is dictated by what the coaching staff wants on a particular day.
Hildreth currently works for the Tigers five days a week with the exception of Saturdays (excluding early hours of Saturday after game night) and Thursdays.
Hildreth's current job actually has no relation to what he is pursuing in college.
Hildreth's work has earned him at least one reference for when he applies for future jobs.
