Don't push Thanksgiving aside

It's amazing that Thursday will be Thanksgiving. I remember walking into a store during October and the employees were already making room in the back for Christmas stuff. I kind of forgot for a moment that there was a holiday in between Halloween and Christmas.
What's the necessity of &#8220celebrating” a holiday so early in the year? Why make it so noticeable? It seems to me that if someone wants to shop early for Christmas they don't need Christmas music or decorations to get them in the mood. It drives me nuts to be driving with the air condition on and hear nothing but Christmas music on the car radio. So I ask, when is it too early to decorate? Let's remmber what Thanksgiving is about and not what it has become – which is a holiday that people rush over just so they can go Christmas shopping the next day.
Don't mind me though, I'll just be busy watching how the Grinch stole Christmas.
