Mr. Fred A. Rowell, 51, died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005, at a Montgomery hospital after an extended illness. He was a native and long-time resident of Brewton before moving to Montgomery five years ago. He was a consultant in the construction industry, of the Baptist faith and a U. S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his mother, Willine (Cecil) Moseley of Montgomery; a son, Benjamin Miles Rowell of Houston, Texas; a half brother, Earl (Marja) Cooper of Warner Robbins, Ga. and a stepbrother, Dr. Steven L. Allen of Montgomery.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Speaker Danny Joyner and Speaker Earl Cooper officiating. Burial followed at Dixonville Cemetery in the Dixonville community with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
