Mrs. Mary &#8220Kat” Katherine Croley Simmons, 77, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2005, at a Jay hospital. She was a native of Bolling, Ala., and a resident of Century for most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Flomaton Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henderson B. Simmons; two sons, Tony and Henny Simmons; her brother, Jimmie Earl Croley; her parents, Jack and Ida Inez Croley and a nephew, Blake Croley.
She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Ann Campbell of Century; a brother, Jack Croley Jr. of Nokomis; a sister, Bobbie Daniel of Mobile; a special friend, Raymond Carnley; a special sister-in-law, Rita Croley; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 20, at 2 p.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Earl Green and the Rev. Jesse Wood officiating. Burial followed at Flomaton Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Wayne Ballard, Jason Daniel, Billy Byrd, Joey Carnley, Ronald Carnley and Donnie Waters.
