Calloway &#8220Robby” Middleton Robertson Jr., 85, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, in a hospice house. He was a native of Brewton and was retired from Continental Can Company as a Senior Financial Analyst with 44 years of service. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, where he served as a Vestryman, a former member of Newark Kiwanis Club, Granville Tennis Club and was an alumnus of the University of Alabama. He served during World War II with the Air Transport Command of the U.S. Air Force for four-and-a-half years as Adjutant General in the Pacific Theater. He was preceded in death by sisters, Ruth Brooks, Ola Williams and Catherine Howard.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara H. (Holland) Robertson; children, J. Martin Robertson, of San Francisco, Calif., Dr. Gregory C. Robertson, of Atlanta, Ga., Thomas Calloway M. (Gail) Robertson III, of Westerville, Ohio, Christian H. (Michele) Robertson of Heath, Ohio and Dr. John Y. (Amy) Robertson of Newark, Ohio; his grandchildren, Katie, Calloway IV, Ashtin, Abby, Christian II, Grant, John, Jr., Nicholas, Elizabeth, Will and Caroline; his brothers, Howard M. (Eleanor) Robertson and Dr. J. Earl (Katherine) Robertson; and his brother-in-law Dale Howard.
Funeral services were held Dec. 13, at 11 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church in Newark with the Rev. Steven Carroll officiating. Burial followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home directing.
