Mr. Melvin &#8220Buddy” Boutwell, 52, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005, in Perdido. He was a native of Atmore and a resident of Perdido since 1992. He was an employee of Atmore Carpets, had worked in flooring installation for 36 years and attended the Baptist church.
He is survived by his wife, Shelia Boutwell of Perdido; three sons, Allen Reynolds of Perdido, and Russell Gene Reynolds II and Fred Everett Reynolds, both of Vidor, Texas; two daughters, Shannon Lynn French of Atmore, and Angel Marie Tyree of Perdido; four brothers, Jack Lambeth of Walnut Hill, Fla., Floyd Boutwell of Perdido, Alvoid Boutwell of McCullough and Coy Boutwell of Flomaton; five sisters, Melba Lambeth of Atmore, Helen Gurley of Mobile, Beatrice Emmons of Flomaton, Hazel Walsden of Byrneville, Fla., and Marie McMillan of Brewton, and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 16, at 2 p.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Sister Eula Price and Sister Wanda Hadley officiating. Burial followed at Traveler's Rest Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Aubrey Boutwell, Tony Lambeth, Darrell Lambeth, Buford Donald, Ray McBride and Roger Hadley. Honoary pallbearers were Leonard Donald and Junior Lambeth.
