Do you ever catch yourself wondering what happened to the people you knew way back when? What have they been up to? What will they be like when they come back? Will they even come back?
The holidays are a great time to catch up on old friendships and sometimes even make new ones. One of the many local residents in Brewton home for the holidays that you might want to catch up with is Michael Martin.
Martin is attending Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C. He is about half-way through the three years he will spend in seminary and a visit home is quite a treat.
Martin said he loved eating his dad's homemade desserts. He found lots waiting when he came home.
He said he also likes to go to the YMCA when he is at home. He finished his exams before he came home for Christmas and doesn't have to worry about cracking open another book until the holidays are over.
Martin, the son of Ronnie and Sherry Martin, is 25 years old, a 1999 graduate of T.R. Miller and a 2003 graduate of Auburn University.
Martin said that he always knew that he wanted to go to a Baptist seminary.
Growing up in Brewton, Martin said he spent time at both the Baptist and Methodist church but he gravitated toward the Baptist faith.
He worked for a year in Auburn after he graduated from college before he decided to go to seminary.
