Ms. Elizabeth &#8220Honey” King, 99, died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2005. She was a native of the Mason community and was preceded in death by four sisters, Hattie Jackson, Mamie Powe, Nora Powe and Ola Holmes and one brother, Ned Thomas.
She is survived by a sister, Eula Dixon of Brewton; two stepsons, Sanford King and Lonnie (Sarah) King of Brewton; a great nephew whom she raised, the Rev. Willie Blue of Brewton; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 30, at 11 a.m. at First Marietta Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Stallworth officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
