Eddie Barton among Who's Who in Black Atlanta 2006 edition

Eddie Barton III, formerly of Brewton, has been named to the Who's Who in Black Atlanta, 2006 edition.
He is president of Hotlanta Motor Sports, LLC, located in Stockbridge, Ga.
Hotlanta Motor Sports is an independent car and motorcycle dealership that believes in educating its clients of financing and buying power.
Barton believes in focusing on the development of consumers in understanding credit and using it to its maximum potential.
Barton is also co-founder and acting vice president of Prophecy Sports Bike Club of Atlanta.
The organization is dedicated to the development of Atlanta's youth through volunteering time with organizations such as the Carrie Steele-Pitts, Atlanta's historic home for children in need.
Barton grew up in Brewton, where he participated in several athletic programs in the community.
He is a 1993 graduate of T.R. Miller High School and received an athletic scholarship in track and field from the University of Mobile, where he achieved all-conference status in cross-country and indoor track.
In 1998, he received a bachelor of arts degree in political science and philosophy.
Barton resides in Fayetteville, Ga., where he also trains for local 5K and 10K races around Atlanta. He is an active member of Jackson Memorial Church.
He is the son of Aretha Barton and Eddie Barton, both of Brewton.
