Mrs. Nellie S. Bush, 79, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2006, at a local hospital. She was a native of Nauvoo, Ala., and a long time resident of Panama City. She was a member and Sunday school teacher at St. Andrew Baptist Church for over 40 years. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clayton Eugene Swindle and James Stanton Bush, and her son, John Clayton Swindle.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol (Al) Jokela of Brewton, and Kathy (Kenneth) Caine of Panama City; a son-in-law, Al Davis; a brother, Nute Wilson of Carbon Hill; her grandchildren, Vangie Gill and Williams Dobbins, both of Palm Beach, Fla., Aegina Jokela and Nathan McCann of Mobile, Trey and Brittany Davis and Triniti Caine, all of Panama City, and a great grandson, Christopher Gill.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 18, at 2 p.m. at the Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home chapel with Dr. William Montgomery and the Rev. Ron Gallagher officiating. Burial followed at Evergreen Memorial Gardens with Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home directing.
