No decision has been made on a potential golf team at W.S. Neal High School for the 2006 spring season.
W.S. Neal did not field a team last year when only two students expressed interest in playing. The school began the 2004 spring with six players, but finished the season with only three for the Section Meet. Those three players had to compete as individuals. Four players are required to have a team score.
Ellis said if a team is fielded, it should not be difficult to put together a team schedule.
Although the award is for work he did at Faulkner State College, Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawks baseball coach Darrell Blevins received the Alabama Baseball Coaches Association Community College Assistant Coach of the Year Award for 2005.
Blevins was an assistant coach at Faulkner State for three years before being hired as the JDCC's top man last summer.
Which was right: There were discrepancies on both dates on the schedules for both T.R. Miller-W.S. Neal baseball dates for the upcoming year. Here is the right information.
The March 24 matchup between the teams at T.R. Miller will have a junior varsity game at 4 p.m. followed by the varsity game at 6 p.m.
The March 31 doubleheader between the teams at W.S. Neal will start at 12 noon.
