Mrs. Diane Gibson Chavez, 48, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2006. She was a native of Brewton and had lived most of her life in Brewton. She was of the Christian faith and worked as a cashier at Southern Family Markets.
She is survived by two sons, Jason Crawford and Tommy Bryant, both of Brewton; two daughters, Paula Dawgette of Decatur and Kandy Pope of Walnut Hill, Fla.; five brothers, Marvin Gibson and Horace Gibson, both of Riverview, Phillip Gibson of Chester, S.C., James Mooney of Mobile and Chester Mooney of Brewton; four sisters, Sandra Guy, Sheila Haveard and Angie Hadley, all of Brewton and Judy Palmer of Geneva and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today, Wednesday, Feb. 8, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Craver's Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 9, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Greer officiating. Burial will follow at Travis Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
