A group, developing a self-storage facility on Rankin Street in and around the New South Apparel building, plans to offer self-storage service for &#8220trunk loads to truck loads.”
Tom Folkers said last week he and his partners in B&G Storage expect to make a capital investment of $1 million to $1.5 million in improvements and new construction.
In addition to the storage capacity of the existing building, Folkers said B&G plans to add climate-controlled storage.
The facility will have 24-hour digital access. That is, the facility will be protected by a coded gate, and keypads next to the entrance.
Because the New South building is located in a light industrial zone, B&G will be able to develop self- storage in an area of Brewton not previously served because of zoning, he said.
Site work will begin in six to eight weeks, Folkers said. For information, contact Folkers at 866.502.8842.
