Mrs. Frances Irene Thompson Turberville, 84, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006, in a Madison, Miss. health care facility. She was a native of Escambia County, Ala., and had resided in Mississippi for the past several years. She was retired from the Escambia County, Florida school system after teaching for 38 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Turberville; her parents, Joseph and Bessie Thompson and her brothers, Phillip and James Thompson.
She is survived by her son, Jim (Carol) Turberville of Pearl, Miss.; her brothers, William Thompson and Byrl Thompson, both of Brewton, and Ed Thompson of Matthews, N.C.; her sisters, Esther Ruth Brannan of Bay Minette, Betty Jo Duncan of Marietta, Ga., and Patricia Baker of Roswell, Ga.; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Thompson of Bay Minette; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 10, at 11 a.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jerry Keese officiating. Burial followed at Flomaton Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing.
