Mrs. JoAnne Johnson Day, 71, died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006, at a Santa Rosa County hospital. She was a native and lifelong resident of Century. She was a member of the OES Chapter 188 in Century, the past Worthy Matron twice and attended the Century First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Johnson, and two sisters, Bertell Johnson Smith and Lullene Johnson Diamond.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jim B. Day of Century; a son, Tony Day of Century; a daughter, Lisa Day Livingston of Pensacola, Fla.; four grandchildren, Valerie Day Dunsford, Julie Day Majors and Samantha Jo Smith, all of Pensacola, and Jake Livingston of Century; and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 11, at 11 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Mitch Herring officiating. Burial followed at Springhill Cemetery with Petty-Eastside directing. Pallbearers were Rex Crews, Danny Crews, Rocky Crews, J.D. Day, Joe Crews and David Odom.
