Bids will be opened by the Board of Revenue for construction of a new county jail on March 2 at 10 a.m. The new jail will be a brick and steel structure, completely modern, and equipped in accordance with regulations of the State Department of Corrections.
The bands of T.R. Miller and W.S. Neal high schools spent Tuesday in Mobile where they took part in the annual Mardi Gras parades.
Thunderstorms brought 2.25 inches of rainfall to this area yesterday.
An additional policeman was employed by the city council at its meeting Tuesday night.
Miller's basketball team is expected to be the perfect host this year at the District One Class &#8220A” tournament which begins Wednesday.
