Mr. Jerry Douglas Boutwell, 60, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006, in Flomaton. He was a native and lifelong resident of Flomaton. He was a member of Boilermaker's Local 112 and attended the Moyeville Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Lila Boutwell.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Carolyn Boutwell of Flomaton; four sons, James (Jamie) Boutwell, Anthony Boutwell, Scott Boutwell and Phillip Boutwell, all of Flomaton; a daughter, Patricia Dunn of Flomaton; his father, Billy Seals of Bay Minette; his mother, Dorothy Bondurant of Flomaton; five sisters, Brenda Cain and Inola Driver, both of Flomaton, Glenda Knowles and Irene Hadley, both of Flomaton and Linda Wilson of Milton, Fla.; nine grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 21, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. James Pugh, the Rev. Ernie Cawby and the Rev. Charles Andrews officiating. Burial followed at Rigby Cemetery with Petty-Eastside directing. Pallbearers were James Boutwell, Anthony Boutwell, Scott Boutwell, Phillip Boutwell, Michael Hogen and Billy Byrd. Honorary pallbearers were Gerald Lambeth, Charles Reardon, Adam Hogen and Steven Hogen.
