A man traveling on Highway 31 was fatally injured in a one-vehicle accident Thursday morning, according to a news release from the State Troopers office.
Lyle J. Hatfield, 32, was driving his 2004 Harley MC on Highway 31 when the accident occurred eight miles southwest of Brewton at approximately 1:15 a.m.
He was transported to West Florida Hospital and later died.
According to Doris Teague, public information officer with the Highway Patrol division, no other details regarding the accident could be released due to the ongoing investigation. State Trooper John D. Bogle is currently in charge of investigating the incident.
Williams Memorial Funeral Home will be in charge of funeral arrangements.
