The Annual Youth Art Contest sponsored by the Brewton Council of the Arts will be held March 6-18, at the YMCA (2-D) and the Brewton Library (Photography and 3-D).  
Mrs. Amy Welch, Chairperson for the event, says that the judges selected for this year have backgrounds in art or art education and are extremely knowledgeable in their field.  
Blue ribbons and cash prizes will be awarded to those who place in the competition, and the top five winners from each school will be entered in the County area-wide competition.
Brewton Council of the Arts is sponsoring this event to encourage all creative youth in our area.  
Mrs. Welch said, &#8220We are fortunate to have this and many other excellent programs provided by the Council that support and encourage the arts in our community.”
The public is invited to drop by and see a fantastic display of the creative talents of our youth.
