JDCC duo receives ACCC honors

Two members of the Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawks basketball team have landed spots on the Alabama Community College Conference South Division Team.
Kedric Wislon was a First Team selection, while Arthur Richardson received Second Team honors.
Wilson, a 6-5 sophomore from Raceland (La.), led JDCC in both scoring at 17.7 points and rebounding at seven boards per game. Wilson shot 45 percent from the field (184-for-413), 33 percent from three-point territory (41-for-124) and 72 percent from the free throw line (103-for-144).

Richardson, a 6-5 sophomore from Niceville (Fla.), was second to Wilson on JDCC's scoring and rebounding lists at 15.5 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. Richardson shot 38 percent from the field (119-for-316), 35 percent from three-point land (51-for-148) and 74 percent from the free throw line (99-for-134).
The rest of the South Division First Team included Player of the Year Julius Allgood of Southern Union and teammate Gary Tucker, Chattahoochee Valley's Jamyron Steward, Travis Matthews and Tarick Jackson, Alabama Southern's Carlos Hughes, L.B. Wallace's Michael Billing and Enterprise-Ozark's Michael Harris.
The rest of the South Second Team included L.B. Wallace's Paul Lubin, Chattahoochee Valley's Travis Thomas, Enterprise-Ozark's Chris Taylor, Faulkner state's Dajaun Hunter, Wallace State-Selma's Trey Williams and Laquincy Landrum, Alabama Southern's Fred Lewis and Bishop State's Larry Hill and Barry Coleman.
