Mr. Herman Eugene Barksdale, 58, died Thursday, March 9, 2006, in a local hospital. He was a resident of Santa Rosa County, Fla., and was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Barksdale and his father, Herman Barksdale.
He is survived by his mother, Lowis Hollinger of Century, Fla.; two sons, Daniel (Lisa) Hoomes and Scott (Geri) Hoomes, both of Jay; two daughters, Beverly (Tony) Blair of Jay, and Tina (Donnie) Schaefer of Hayden, Ala.; a brother, William (Ann) Barksdale of East Brewton; sisters, Faye (Don) Dykes of Jay and Loraine (Jerry) Kimmons of Barnett Crossroads; eight grandchildren, Kristina and Steven Schaefer, Trenton and Allison Blair, Nicole Allers, Stevie McDaniels, Shelton and Lucas Blair and many other friends and relatives.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date and Jay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
