Pearl Stallworth retired from the Escambia Brewton Area Vocational Center on Friday, March 10, after having worked in education in the county for more than 20 years.
In addition, she worked a number of years in education in California. Her children and colleagues threw her a party with food and gifts. Billy Hines represented the Escambia County School System office.
Jane Henderson, director of the center, said Stallworth had been on the verge of retirement several times before, but she was able to talk her out of it.
