McBride honored during Women's History Month

Dr. Susan A. McBride, president of Jefferson Davis Community College, received a plaque commemorating Women's History Month last month from the People United Community Coalition and Escambia County Literacy Coalition.
The plaque read &#8220Women: Builders of Communities and Dreams,” said Linda H. Stallworth, president of the People United Community Coalition.
McBride has been president of JDCC since October 1999. A native of Flint, Mich., she earned her bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and a master's degree in library science from Western Michigan University.
She earned a master of business administration degree from Pacific Luthern University and a doctorate in higher education from East Texas State University (now Texas A&M University at Commerce).
