School hopefuls to talk

Five candidates with a variety of experience in education will interview this week for the position of Escambia County School Board superintendent.
Three candidates inside the system - William N. Hines, administrative assistant for the district; Randall K. Little, assistant principal at W.S. Neal High School; and David Nolin, principal at A.C. Moore Elementary School - will interview along with Andalusia High School Principal Daniel Shakespeare and Larry E. Collier, principal of Brookhaven Middle School in Decatur.
Superintendent Melvin &#8220Buck” Powell announced his retirement in January.
