Mrs. Annie Mae Smith, 78, died Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at her Brewton residence. She was a native of Monroeville and had been a resident of the Brewton area for most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Baptist Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Lawyer Anderson Smith of Brewton; four sons, Howard Smith, Lawrence Smith and Jessie Smith, all of Brewton, and Richard Smith, of Atlanta, Ga.; three daughters, Rosie Barton and Burech Floyd, both of Brewton, and Marion Harrison of Warner Robbins, Ga.; two sisters, Sally Dailey and Rosie Mae Anderson, both of Brewton; two sisters-in-law, Vera Montgomery and Mary Askew; 47 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 8, at 2 p.m. at Baptist Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Otis Floyd officiating. Burial followed at Baptist Hill Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
