The Escambia County Democratic Executive Committee sponsored an essay contest for the senior students in the five major high schools in Escambia County again this year.
The winner from each high school will be recognized and presented a certificate and a $100 check from the county Democratic party in connection with the Law Day activities sponsored by the Escambia County Bar Association which were held for the senior classes May 4 and 5 at the courthouse in Brewton. The topic for the essays this year was &#8220Why I should register and vote.”
