Mr. Kenneth Weaver Ellis, 88, died Monday, May 8, 2006, in an Evergreen medical facility after an extended illness. He was a native and life long resident of Conecuh County. He was a member of Castleberry United Methodist Church and a retired farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Esther Trawick Ellis of Castleberry; a son, Jesse (Susie) Ellis of Castleberry; two daughters, Shirley (Terry) Ezell of Castleberry and Betty Jo Dyer of Redondo Beach, Calif.; two brothers, William &#8220Bill” (Myrtis) Ellis of Castleberry and John (Annie Jean) Ellis of Bay Minette; three sisters, Corrine Weaver of Mobile, Jane (Joe) Stucky of Spanish Fort, and Julia (Rudolph) Williams of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren, Ken Roberts, Patrick Roberts, Joey Ellis, Michael Ellis, Joe Fail and Wade Fail and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 11, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Darby and the Rev. Kris Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Buffington Cemetery in Castleberry with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
