Cubs remain undefeated; Indians win in Babe Ruth

The Cubs remained one of two unbeaten teams left in Brewton Babe Ruth League play Monday with a 13-11, 10-inning win over the Athletics.
Meanwhile the Indians moved to within one game of the .500 mark with a 9-5 triumph over the Reds.

CUBS: Corey Williams worked the final six innings to get the win. Robert Knowles had two singles and scored two runs. Landon Sowell had a single and scored three runs. Houston Simmons had four singles, a triple and scored four runs. Corey Williams had two singles, a double and scored three runs. Stephan Warren and Dodson Hetherington had a single. Paul Miller had three singles. Bryant Jernigan had two singles.
ATHLETICS: Dylan Smith had a single, a triple and scored three runs. Sam Sharpe had a single and scored three runs. Tyler Cross scored three runs. Garrett Robinson had two singles and a double. Trent Robinson, William Brantley, Nick Moore and Gregory Shipp had a single.
Indians 9, Reds 5
INDIANS: Taylor Berry worked two and one-third innings of scoreless relief to get the win. Berry, Tyson Godwin, Roy Brown, Michael Kast and Colby Franks had a single. Corey Rilling and Tyler Brown had two singles. Daniel Warrick scored two runs.
REDS: Wil Riggs, Josh Palmer, Mabry Cook and John Mathieu had a single.
