Mr. Jack Williams, 77, of Rodgers Lane in Brewton, suddenly died Wednesday, May 31, 2006, at his residence. He was a native of Uriah, and a former resident of Mobile before moving to Brewton in 1964. He was a member of North Brewton Baptist Church, the Lions Club, a U.S. Marine and Army veteran, serving in World War II and the Korean War, and retired from Smurfit Stone with 28 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Norvelle Rawls Williams of Brewton; two sons, Dr. Jeff (Ina) Williams of Brewton and Tracey (Tracy) Williams of Birmingham; a daughter, Monica (Michael) Graydon of Columbus, Ga.; a sister, Jeanette (Gary) Huff of Brewton and eight grandchildren, Meagan Williams, Allison Williams, Sidney Williams, Jackson Williams, Jacob Williams, Emily Graydon, Will Graydon and Addison Browne.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 2, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael King officiating. Burial followed at Union Cemetery with Williams Memorial Home directing.
