Mrs. Willie Taylor Merchant, 91, died Thursday, June 1, 2006, in Century. She was a native of Toccoa, Ga., a resident of Bluff Springs, Fla. since 1951 and attended the Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons, William H. Hamilton and Fred A. Taylor, both of Century and George C. Hamilton of Louisa, Va.; two daughters, Dorothy Greenwell of McDavid, Fla. and Ann Rydowski of Flomaton; a sister, Ora Gibson of Seneca, S.C.; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and six great, great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 5, at 10 a.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. John Evangelista officiating. Burial followed at Crary Memorial Cemetery with Petty Funeral Home directing. The pallbearers were the grandsons.
