Local students receive college honors

Candi Rena Scott received her bachelor's degree of general studies in nonprofit administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha on May 5.
She is currently preparing to take the Graduate Record Examination where upon completion she will enter into graduate school of obtain a master's degree in Bibical and Mental Health counseling.
She is employed as a youthcare worker at a psychiatric residential treatment facility, which serves boys and girls who have emotional mental behavior and substance abuse issues.
She is the daughter of Anthony and Diane Dees of Omaha, Neb. and Roosevelt and Darlene Sanders Jr. of Corinth, Texas.
She is the granddaughter of Lenestine Woods and the late Roosevelt Sanders Sr, of Brewton, Betty Dees of Evergreen, Albert and Mary Dees Jr. of Castleberry and J.B. and Gussie Scott Jr. of Jersey City, N.J.
Sharon Brazile of Brewton was recognized among degree recipients of The University of Alabama in Huntsville during Commencement on May 14, at the Von Braun Center. She earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing.
James Perry II, son of Mike and Tammy Perry of Brewton, has been named to the dean's honor roll for Spring 2006 at the University of West Florida.
