Fashion for the family is the motto of the new Peebles store holding its grand opening in August.
Stage Stores Inc. entered into a definitive agreement in February to acquire privately owned B.C. Moore &Sons for approximately $37 million in cash, a deal that was approved by the board of directors of Stage and B.C. Moore, according to stagestores.com.
The company acquired 78 retail locations located throughout Alabama, Georgia, North Caroline and South Carolina. The company's integration plan called for 69 of the acquired locations to be converted into Peebles stores.
B.C. Moore's &Sons has been liquidating its inventory to make way for the new Peebles store slated to open Aug. 3. B.C. Moore's will close June 24.
What sets Peebles apart from B.C. Moore stores, Bell said, is that while they will carry some of the same items, they place more of an emphasis on missy sports wear.
Peebles will offer the latest fashions, as well as top brand names for misses, juniors, men, and children, including Tommy Hilfiger, Rafaella, Liz Claiborne, Elizabeth Arden, Guess, Dockers, Nautica, South Pole, Chaps, Jockey, Levi's, Carter's Nike, Clarks and many more.
