Mr. George Watson Thomas Jr., 66, died June 13, 2006 at his residence. He was a native of Brewton and was working in New York City as a merchant seaman. He was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Hicks.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Watson Thomas Sr. of Brewton; a sister, Rebecca Jermmott of St. Albans, N.Y.; two brothers, James W. Thomas of San Diego, Calif.; and Bernard Thomas of Brewton; several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held June 17, at 11 a.m. at Second Saint Siloam Baptist Church with the Rev. Willie J. Blue officiating. Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
