Fourteen new voting boxes will be put in use in Escambia County in voting after October .
Interest in the coming wet-dry vote on June 26 in Escambia County is beginning to stir. Plans for a straw ballot Tuesday on traffic safety in Brewton have been dropped by a safety sub-committee. Mayor C.C. Fountain did not give his approval to a proposed ballot to be used in the poll.
A loan of $10,000 for District One was approved by the Board of Revenue Monday so that the Roberts-Bradley paving may be finished.
A county-wide meeting of White Citizens Council members will be addressed in Atmore by Judge Tom. P. Brady.
Absentee voting in the city of Brewton primary may go as high as 90 by the time voting ends tonight at midnight.
