Cornerstone welcomes new pastor and family

Chad Holmes was recently named as pastor for the congregation of Cornerstone Community Church of God.
Having served as associate pastor and youth pastor at Lott Road Church of God in Mobile for the past two years, this move is giving Holmes his first job as senior pastor.
Holmes, along with his wife, Lindsey, has completed the Ministerial Internship Program through Lee University in Tennessee. Upon completion of the nine-month program, Holmes became licensed/ordained and gained qualification to become a minister within the Church of God denomination.
Holmes began his pastoral position at Cornerstone on Sunday, June 25 with his family joining him today (Sunday). The couple has two children, Callie, 6 and Coby 3.
Cornerstone Community Church of God is located at 401 Belleville Avenue in the former Universalist Church building. Sunday services are 9:45 a.m. for Sunday school, 10:45 for morning worship, and 6 p.m. for evening services.
A community/missions meal is offered at 6 p.m. on Wednesday evenings followed by Bible study and teaching at 7 p.m.
