Mrs. Bernice Lee Godwin, 83, died Monday, July 10, 2006, at her Brewton residence. She was a native and life long resident of Escambia County. She was a homemaker and attended Faith Bible Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mose Jake Godwin; a granddaughter, Kelly Ann Roberson; her parents, James Walter &#8220Bud” Lee and Clyde B. Lee; and a brother, Floyd &#8220Dick” Lee.
She is survived by two sons, Tommy (Kathy) Godwin of Molino, Fla. and Donald (Faye) Godwin of McDavid, Fla.; four daughters, Faye (Barney) Williamson of Brewton, Judy (Earnest) Burford of Axis, and Peggy (Ronnie) Lail and Darlene Nelson, both of Jay, Fla.; three brothers, Lendel Lee and Robert Earl Lee, both of Bakersfield, Calif., and Eddie Roy Lee of Soda Springs, Idaho; three sisters, Ruby Varney of Angel Falls, Calif., Wilma Powell of Flomaton and Elizabeth Lisenby of Olla La.; 18 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, July 12, at the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Stokes, the Rev. Michael Wiggins and the Rev. Joe Digmond officiating. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be Douglas Godwin, Doyle Godwin, Terry Godwin, Tony Godwin, Marcus Godwin, Jamie Nelson and Derek Enfinger. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
