Mrs. Novella Lee, 92, died Friday, June 30, 2006, at a local nursing home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Arbella McIntyre and eight of her siblings. She had been a member of Second Mt. Zion in Owassa, Hamden Ridge Baptist Church in Conecuh County and was a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by sister, Mamie Lou Evans of Evergreen; a devoted niece who she raised, Cathy (Alton) Johnson of Little Rock, Ark.; four brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law, Willie (Billie) Lee of Moreno Valley, Calif., Dr. Joe (Margie) Lee of Montgomery, and the Rev. Jesse (Mary) Lee, the Rev. Paul (Geri) Lee and Callie Lee Washington, all of Brewton, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 6, at 2 p.m. at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Moses Atwood officiating. Burial followed at Hamden Ridge Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral home directing.
