Items can be sent to newsroom@brewtonstandard.com and should include a name, photo and description of the accomplishment.
Bean said the design of the newspaper will be more streamlined, with new typefaces and added white space to keep the newspaper better organized and make it more reader-friendly.
In addition to celebrating its new look, the newspaper will also be celebrating 100 years under its current banner, The Brewton Standard.
A special section highlighting events of the past century and illustrating how the newspaper commemorated them will be included in the July 26 edition.
To celebrate both the centennial and the redesign, The Brewton Standard will host a reception Wednesday from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the newspaper office at 407 St. Nicholas Ave.
