Virgie B. Evans Hullett

Mrs. Virgie B. Evans Hullett, 87, died Thursday, July 13, 2006, at her residence after an extended illness. She was a native and long time resident of Escambia County before moving to Jay, eight years ago. She was a retired nurse at D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital with 20 years of service. She was of the Methodist faith and was preceded in death by her husband, Joel T. Hullett and a son, Daniel Earl Hullett.
She is survived by a daughter, Evelyn (Millard) Carden of Jay; a son, William (Judy) Hullett of Brewton; one sister, Annie Hullett of Jay; four brothers, Kirby (Barbara Rita) Evans, Bernard (Sybil) Evans, Jim (Betty) Evans and Willie (Luverne) Evans, all of Brewton; nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 11 great, great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 16, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Funches officiating. Burial followed at Mount Carmel Methodist Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
