A Brewton man accused of sexual assault was arrested last week as a four-year search for him ended in Monroe County.
Jessie Boutwell, 46, of Hall Creek Road, was arrested after being stopped on a traffic violation Friday, said Alfred Carter, commander with the 35th Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force.
Carter said a passenger with Boutwell produced identification that began the collection of information that would lead to the arrest.
The arrest in Monroeville found Boutwell a guest at the Monroe County Jail for the weekend where he was held until Monday for release to Baldwin County Sheriff's officers.
After being transferred to the Baldwin County Corrections Center, Boutwell was booked on a bond of just over $10,000, Murphy said.
Boutwell still faces charges stemming from the indictment that alleges he had sex with a 14-year-old Baldwin County resident in 2002.
