YMCA soccer league
sign-ups underway
Registration will continue through Aug. 20 for the Brewton Area YMCA soccer season. Age divisions are kindergarten 4-5, first through third grade and fourth through eighth grade.
Fee is $33 for members and $66 for non-members. Evaluations will be Aug. 21-22, 24.

WSN QB Club names officers for 2006-07
The W.S. Neal Quarterback Club has announced its officers for the 2006-07 school year.
Rodney Rhodes was retained as president, while John Boyd and James Grantham were selected as vice-presidents. Johnnie Clyde Boyd was selected as both secretary and treasurer.
The club has announced a new e-mail address of wsnealquarterbackclub@yahoo.com where questions can be addressed.
WSN to have Meet
the Eagles Night
The W.S. Neal Quarterback Club is sponsoring Meet the Eagles Night Thursday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the cafeteria. This event is for players and their respective families only.
An Open House will be held at 7 p.m. for tours through the renovated weight room and fieldhouse. Spirit shirts will also be available. The public is welcome to attend this portion of the evening activities.
WSN cheerleaders selling spirit items
W.S. Neal High School cheerleaders will be selling spirit items at W.S. Neal Elementary School Thursday and at W.S. Neal Elementary School Friday.
Most of the items cost $1.

EBYFL announces
season schedule
The East Brewton Youth Football League teams will kick off their season Sept. 9 with games against Opp at the Crestview, Fla. Jamboree.
The Tiny Mites will play at 1:45 p.m., the Termites will follow at 3 p.m. and the Peewees conclude East Brewton's day at 3 p.m.
The regular season opener is Sept. 16 at home against Baker, Fla. East Brewton will also have home games Sept. 23 against Straughn and Sept. 30 at Andalusia.
East Brewton will play regular season road games at Crestview Oct. 7, at Opp Oct. 14 and at Straughn Oct. 21.
The Tiny Mites will play their games at 5:30 p.m. The Termites will play games at 6:45 p.m. The Peewees will play at 8 p.m.
The Tri-County Super Bowl Championship will be Oct. 28 at Baker. Games will start at 9 a.m. and will run through 9 p.m.
TRM, WSN to have girls physicals Tuesday
Athletic physicals for T.R. Miller and W.S. Neal High School girls will be given Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the science wing at T.R. Miller High School.
The physicals are free.
