One East Brewton eyesore is about to become a memory following the passing of a resolution by the City Council on Monday.
The home in question is located at 126 Mayo St. and is owned by Gwendolyn Nobles, who currently resides in New Jersey, Shipp said.
When demolition is complete, the City of East Brewton will bill the property owner for the cost of the work, Mayor Terry Clark said.
Clark also indicated that if the city wins a lawsuit against the property owners, they would take ownership of the property and have the right to sell it in order to get back the money that was spent for the work.
