Mr. Edwin Gordon Crawford, 87, died Friday, Aug. 25, 2006, at his residence on Ridge Road after a brief illness. He was a native of Brewton and a former resident of Pensacola, Fla., before moving back to Brewton three years ago. He was of the Methodist faith and a retired boiler operator with Gulf Power with 21 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Dawkins Crawford of Brewton; a stepson, Terry (Nancy) Crawford of Tallapossa, Ga.; three sisters-in-law, Margaret and Ralph Burnham, Elizabeth Hacker and Sue Janes, all of Brewton; and two brothers-in-law, Donald (Lynn) Dawkins and Gary (Nita) Dawkins, both of Brewton.
Graveside services were held Monday, Aug. 28, at 1 p.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery in Pensacola, with the Rev. Floyd Dyal officiating and Williams Chapel Funeral Home directing.
